Religiously Follow the Manufacturer’s Maintenance Schedule

Unlike the water ejection side, the suction side of a pump is super-sensitive to pipe size, height from the water source, and the valves or fittings attached in between.
Just like when you are trying to drink yogurt through a straw, it can be straining for a pump to suck water if the suction pipe size and length are too small. As a result, the machine is unable to deliver the intended pressure or flow rate.
To avoid this problem, ensure that you purchase the recommended pipe size and have professionals install them as they have all the tools to safely install them without causing any damage.
Invest in a Reliable Pressure Tank
Another solution to well pump optimization is having a reliable pressure tank. Basically, they come fitted with gauges that display the amount of pressure flowing through the pipes. Anything below 40 PSI should be adjusted to reach at least 60 PSI. Anything beyond that is too much as it could potentially lead to leaks, pipe breakage, and switch failure.
To successfully adjust the pressure settings, start by switching off the circuit breaker. After that, determine the air fill valve location at the top side. Measure the PSI using the typical tire pressure gauge.
If it doesn’t meet the above-stipulated threshold, adjust the pressure setting using a switch located along the piping originating from the well into the pressure tank.
Once done, switch the circuit breaker back on and see whether it has adjusted accordingly. Drain water from the pressure tanks using the faucet located next to the switch until the pump resuscitates.
